The story of Parikshit

Parikshit is grandson of Arjuna who restored royal continuity after the war and later heard the Bhagavata teaching. Son of Abhimanyu and Uttara; grandson of Arjuna.

Krishna protected him before birth from Ashwatthama's weapon.

Raised by the surviving Pandavas, he inherited the kingdom when they retired.

After insulting a meditating sage, he was cursed to die from the serpent Takshaka's bite.

He spent his final days listening to sacred teaching, especially in the Bhagavata Purana tradition.
