Prahlada

Prahlada is child saint whose unwavering devotion survived the persecutions of his father Hiranyakashipu. Son of Hiranyakashipu and Kayadhu.

Though born in an asura household, he learned devotion to Vishnu before birth through Narada's teaching.

He refused to worship his father as supreme and survived poison, fire, elephants and other attempts on his life.

When Hiranyakashipu challenged Vishnu's presence in a pillar, Narasimha emerged and killed the tyrant.

Prahlada later ruled with justice and became an enduring model of fearless devotion.
