The story of Shatrughna

Shatrughna is youngest son of Dasharatha, remembered for loyal service, governance and the defeat of Lavanasura. Son of Dasharatha and Sumitra; twin brother of Lakshmana; husband of Shrutakirti.

He was especially close to Bharata and accompanied him during the crisis of Rama's exile.

He helped govern Ayodhya while Rama was away and punished Manthara in anger before Bharata restrained him.

Later he defeated the demon Lavanasura and established rule in Mathura.

He ultimately followed his brothers in their final departure.
