The story of Trijata

Trijata is compassionate woman in Lanka who comforted Sita and warned other guards through a prophetic dream. Rakshasi of Lanka; sometimes described as Vibhishana's kin.

Assigned among the guards of Ashoka grove, she differed from those who threatened Sita.

She dreamed of Rama's victory, Ravana's fall and Sita's restoration.

She interpreted the dream as a warning and urged the rakshasis to treat Sita respectfully.

Throughout captivity she offered reassurance and became a rare ally inside enemy territory.
