The story of Uttara

Uttara is princess whose unborn child became the sole continuation of the Pandava dynasty. Daughter of King Virata; wife of Abhimanyu; mother of Parikshit.

During the Pandavas' incognito year, Arjuna taught her dance while disguised as Brihannala.

She married Abhimanyu, joining the Matsya and Pandava houses.

Widowed while pregnant, she faced Ashwatthama's weapon aimed at extinguishing the Kuru line.

Krishna saved the child in her womb; Parikshit later became king.
